Introduction

These Terms of Service govern your use of Civium, a service operated by Sireda AB, a company registered in Sweden (organisation number 559589-4899), Gothenburg, Sweden. Contact: legal@mycivium.com.

By creating an account, starting a trial, subscribing to, or otherwise accessing Civium as a registered user, you agree to these Terms.

Use of the service is also governed by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into binding contracts to use Civium. By using the service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

Service Description

Civium provides AI-powered opportunity discovery and matching tools based on your profile, preferences, and publicly available roles indexed from supported organisations.

New registered users automatically receive a free 3-day trial with access to AI-matched opportunities including match scores, explanations, and apply links, subject to fair-use limits during the trial period. After the trial period expires, access to the dashboard is suspended until you activate a paid subscription, purchase a one-time access pass (see One-time Access Passes below) or redeem a valid promo code (see Promo Codes below). Subscribed users, access-pass holders and users with active promo access receive the full match list of up to 100 matches per day.

Civium uses automated systems to rank and recommend opportunities based on information you provide. These recommendations are not guarantees of employment suitability.

You may update your targeting preferences and request CV analyses subject to reasonable fair-use limits, which differ between trial and paid accounts and which we may adjust from time to time.

Civium is not a job board, recruitment agency, or employment platform. All opportunities displayed originate from the public career pages of the relevant organisations. You apply directly through each organisation's own system.

Subscription & Billing

A 3-day free trial is automatically activated when you create an account — no payment method is required to start the trial. If you do not subscribe before the trial ends, your access to the service is suspended until you subscribe.
Subscription prices vary by region. The applicable price is shown on our Pricing page and at checkout, and is based on your billing country.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the billing period.
Billing and payment handling are performed through integrated payment providers.

By clicking to start your subscription on the checkout page, you expressly authorise us to charge the applicable amount to your selected payment method at the start of the subscription and automatically at each subsequent renewal, until you cancel.

We may change subscription prices from time to time. Price changes will be notified in advance and will apply only from the start of your next billing cycle.

One-time Access Passes

As an alternative to a monthly subscription, Civium offers one-time, non-recurring access passes:

48-hour pass — full dashboard access for 48 hours from the moment of purchase.
7-day pass — full dashboard access for 7 days from the moment of purchase.
Access passes are a single, one-time payment. They do not renew or recur, and no further charge is taken when the access period ends.
Access starts as soon as your payment is confirmed and expires automatically at the end of the stated duration — there is no separate cancellation step, because there is nothing to cancel.
Buying another pass while one is already active adds the new pass's duration on top of your existing access ("stacking") rather than replacing it or running the two periods in parallel.
Purchasing an access pass does not require or create a monthly subscription, and you may subscribe monthly at any time, whether or not you hold an active pass.
If you subscribe monthly while an access pass is still active, the pass's remaining time is preserved, not combined with or forfeited by the subscription. Your access is governed by the subscription while it remains active; if the subscription later ends and your original pass duration has not yet elapsed, the remaining pass time automatically becomes available again.
If you purchase an access pass while your free trial is still active, your free trial ends immediately in exchange for the pass and is not resumed once the pass expires — your access after that point depends solely on the pass (and on any subsequent subscription or additional pass you choose to purchase).
Access pass prices vary by region. The applicable price is shown on our Pricing page and before you confirm payment, and is based on your billing country.

From time to time we issue promo codes that give a fixed period of full access to Civium without payment ("promo access"). The following applies to promo access:

A promo code is not a purchase. Nothing is charged for promo access, no payment method is required, and it does not renew or turn into a paid subscription when it ends. Because nothing is bought, there is nothing to refund and the refund and withdrawal provisions of these Terms do not apply to it.
Promo access starts when you redeem the code and lasts for the number of days that applies to that code. Each code has an expiry date by which it must be redeemed and a limited number of uses. Both are set when we issue it.
During that period you have the same dashboard access as a subscriber. Promo access ends automatically at the end of the period; there is nothing to cancel.
Each campaign can be redeemed once per person. Creating another account, deleting and re-creating your account, or using an address that delivers to a mailbox you have already used (for example a "+tag" variant of the same address) does not entitle you to redeem a campaign again. To apply this rule we keep a pseudonymised record of the email address used, as described in our Privacy Policy.
A code is meant for the person or group it was issued to. Codes issued for a particular organisation may be redeemed only by users whose account email address belongs to it. Do not sell, publish or pass on a code to people it was not issued to.
You cannot redeem a code while you have an active subscription, an active access pass or other promo access. While you hold promo access, one-time access passes are not available to buy.
If you redeem a code while your free trial is still running, the free trial ends immediately and is replaced by the promo period. It is not resumed when the promo access ends.
We may disable a code at any time. Access already granted under a code that we disable continues until its end date, unless we end it under the next point.
We may end promo access, and refuse to issue or accept further codes from the person concerned, where a code was obtained or used in breach of these Terms, for example through account or address duplication, resale of codes, or false information.
When promo access ends, you keep your account but dashboard access is suspended until you subscribe or buy an access pass, as after the free trial.

Refund Policy

Unless required by law, refunds are generally not provided for:

Partial billing periods.
Unused subscription time.

Exceptions may apply for verified duplicate charges or billing errors.

For EU, EEA and UK consumers: the statutory right of withdrawal is addressed in the EU, EEA and UK Withdrawal Rights section below. Where a valid withdrawal right is exercised, any applicable refund will be processed in accordance with applicable law and the process described in that section.

EU, EEA and UK Withdrawal Rights

Consumers located in the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom have a statutory right of withdrawal for distance contracts within 14 days of purchase. This withdrawal period begins on the date of purchase — the date the subscription is purchased, or the date an access pass is purchased, as applicable.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you can submit a withdrawal request from the Billing section of your account during the applicable 14-day withdrawal period. You may also submit a withdrawal notice using the Model Withdrawal Form included at the end of these Terms (Annex I) by emailing it to legal@mycivium.com.

This withdrawal right applies to the subscription purchase and to one-time access pass purchases. Your free trial does not constitute a purchase and is not subject to this withdrawal right, as no payment is taken at trial activation.

Consumers located outside the EU, EEA and UK do not hold this statutory right of withdrawal.

Where you have requested immediate access to the digital service and service delivery has begun at your request before the end of the withdrawal period, you may still submit a withdrawal request. The applicable refund amount, if any, will take into account the value of the service provided up to the date of withdrawal, in accordance with applicable law. For an access pass, given its short fixed duration, the value of service already provided may reasonably approach or reach the full price the closer the pass is to being fully consumed or already expired. The withdrawal right is not automatically waived at the point of purchase.

Submitting a withdrawal request does not automatically cancel your Stripe subscription, revoke an access pass, or trigger a refund. Each request is reviewed individually by our team, who will contact you regarding the outcome within 14 days of receiving the request. Any refund due will be issued within 14 days of a valid withdrawal being confirmed.

A model withdrawal form is included at the end of these Terms (Annex I) and may be submitted to legal@mycivium.com.

User Responsibilities

Provide accurate account and profile information.
Keep your account secure by not sharing your Magic Link sign-in emails with third parties, and by preventing others from accessing the email inbox used to authenticate to Civium.
Use the service lawfully and in compliance with these Terms.
Do not misuse, disrupt, or attempt unauthorized access to systems.

Prohibited Uses

Except as permitted for Published Aggregate Data (see below), you may not:

Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the service.
Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to query the service.
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of Civium, except where permitted by mandatory applicable law.
Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit any part of the service.
Share your Magic Link sign-in emails or allow others to access your account.
Use the service in any manner that could harm, overload, or impair the platform.
Submit fraudulent chargebacks or engage in payment abuse. Such conduct may result in immediate suspension or termination.
Misuse promo codes, for example by selling or publishing them, or by creating several accounts or using several addresses to redeem the same campaign more than once (see Promo Codes above).

Intellectual Property

Civium and all related software, design, and content are owned by Sireda AB or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. Except for Published Aggregate Data (see below), no other rights are granted.

Third-Party Content

Opportunity data indexed by Civium originates from third-party public sources.
Civium does not guarantee the completeness or availability of third-party opportunity data.
Intellectual property rights remain with the original content owners.
Published Aggregate Data (see below) consists of Civium's own statistics. It does not reproduce individual postings or other third-party content.

Published Aggregate Data

Civium (operated by Sireda AB) publishes aggregated statistics derived from its analysis of public vacancies, such as counts and shares of vacancies by role type, skill and organisation type. These appear on the Market Trends pages and in the JSON export linked from them ("Published Aggregate Data").

Published Aggregate Data is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0). You may copy, redistribute and adapt it, including commercially, provided you give appropriate credit to Civium as stated where the data is published. If these Terms and the licence conflict as to Published Aggregate Data, the licence applies.

Published Aggregate Data does not include individual vacancies or other third-party content, user data, or Civium's software, design, guides, text, brand or other content. These remain subject to these Terms, including Prohibited Uses. To use Published Aggregate Data, use the pages and the JSON export provided for that purpose, and do not overload the service.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to you before they take effect, via email or notice within the service. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the service before the changes take effect.

Service Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. Where reasonably practicable, we will provide advance notice of material changes.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to internet outages, cloud infrastructure failures, third-party payment processor outages, regulatory actions, or other events outside our reasonable control.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Civium on any of the following grounds:

Breach of these Terms.
Fraudulent or deceptive activity.
Abuse of the service or other users.
Legal obligation requiring us to do so.
Security risk to the platform or its users.

We may also remove accounts that have been inactive for a prolonged period, with notice where reasonably practicable.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Civium is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee:

Uninterrupted or error-free access to the service.
That opportunity data sourced from third parties is current, complete, or accurate.
That the service will meet your specific requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service.
We do not guarantee the accuracy or suitability of job matches.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service will not exceed the total subscription fees paid by you to us during the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights protections you are entitled to under the law of your country of residence.

Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Swedish courts, unless applicable mandatory law provides otherwise.

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform for resolving disputes between consumers and online traders at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. Civium's contact email for ODR purposes is legal@mycivium.com.

Assignment

We may assign or transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or other corporate restructuring. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be made in writing to be effective.

Note: For Civium's digital subscription service, if you requested immediate access to the service at sign-up and acknowledged the loss of your withdrawal right at that point, the right of withdrawal may no longer be available under Art. 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (EU/EEA) or Regulation 36 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 (UK). This form is provided to fulfil the pre-contractual information requirement under Art. 6(1)(h) of the Directive (and the equivalent UK provision) regardless.
